Are you thinking of ways to spice up your date? Then having a round of paintball and getting down and dirty just might be the thing for you to up the excitement in a date. If you're still not convinced, try watching the movie "10 Things I Hate About You." Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger could never make the sport even more romantic and fun at the same time. So here's a little how-to guide to pull this off successfully and make your way into her "Best Ever Date" list.
Will She Enjoy It?
First off, you have to make sure if she's the kind of girl that can actually enjoy paintball. If she's the athletic type and does not mind getting dirty, then this is a cue that she will have the time of her life with a paintball date. However, if she's the type who's always dolled up and looking perfect all the time, then you might want to look for other alternatives. But this is not to say that she will never enjoy paintball.
If you really can't tell, then go ahead and rent out the "10 Things I Hate About You" movie and casually bring up the topic of paintball to her. Ask her if she's willing to try out this new sport. The least you can do is to tell her that you're planning on taking her to a paintball range, so she can mentally and physically prepare herself. Don't ever surprise a girl with a paintball gun and a full-face helmet on the day of the date itself.
Prepare, Prepare, Prepare
If you have all the signs that your date is up for paintball, then prepare beforehand. If you belong to a regular paintball team, it might be wise to warn the guys beforehand. And you and your date should be on the same team. Nothing bonds two people than danger and excitement.
For the equipment, you can either borrow from a buddy or rent the equipment. Make sure the equipment is squeaky clean. Paintball ranges often have rental equipment for at least $30.
You can also introduce paintball and the basic rules to your date before you head out to the paintball playing field. Perhaps, you can reserve an hour or two of teaching her how to handle her marker. This way, she would feel more confident while out in the field.
Be Her Hero
When it's time to play, make sure that she's always in your range of vision. Don't be overly protective but let her know that you haven't forgotten her while you're slugging it out with the opposing team. Take the time to check on her once in a while. Perhaps, ask her how she's doing while in the middle of the game. Make sure that she's having fun.
Paintball is one of the best and most unique date ideas there is. With some careful planning and preparation, you'll definitely give your date a fun day at the very least. Plus, it's also a great way to introduce your hobbies to her and let her know who you really are.
