LEAF PAINTING

Go on a nature walk with your child and gather a variety of leaves from various trees. Color the backside of a leaf with a washable marker. Once leaf is completely covered in ink, press bottom side down onto 8x11 1/2 copy paper. Repeat using various leaves & marker colors. Remember to press the leaves in various positions on the paper. Have your child write their name and age in the bottom right hand side of paper. I like to use a fine tip pencil or pen so it shows up legibly. Frame in a black or brown frame and display in a prominent spot like the mantle, back entry way, etc. Display in a purchased black or brown frame or embellish one with broken sticks you and your child have glued over top of an existing frame. Break twigs in small 1 inch pieces and adhere with crafts glue or Elmer's glue. You could also use pine cones, nuts, or dried berries.Its leaves were beautiful, its fruit abundant, and on it was food for all.

For supper serve quick & delicious Chicken Lasagna followed by German Chocolate Brownies. Both are very easy and yummy to make!

CHICKEN LASAGNA

6 lasagna noodle, boil until cooked

Mix together for sauce:

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup onions

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup mayonnaise

Garlic salt to taste

4 to 6 cups chicken chunks

4 cups cheddar cheese

Layer in this order in a 9x13 pan:

Noodles

Sauce

Cheese

Noodles

Sauce

Cheese

Bake at 350* for 40 minutes.

GERMAN CHOCOLATE BROWNIES

1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake Mix

2/3 cup cold butter or margarine

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 can coconut pecan frosting

1/4 cup milk

Place cake mix in a bowl and cut in butter until crumbly. Press 2 1/2 cups into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350* for 10 minutes. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Drop frosting by Tablespoon over chocolate chips. Stir milk into remaining crumb mix and drop by teaspoon over top. Bake 25-30 minutes longer until bubbly and top is cracked. Let cool. Put in refrigerator for 4 hours before cutting.
